How to root Android device running on version 9.0 (Pie)

If you want to fully control your android device and you are not able to do that…?  Panic no more as we are here again with a guide to root android device also known as PIE.
Although it might be tough to root android 9 for the first time, on reading this article, you will realize it is not as tough as you might think.

Steps to root android device

Using SuperSU

  1. Click here to download SuperSU
  2. Move the zip file to internal storage
  3. Switch off your device
  4. Boot your device to custom recovery by holding down Volume down (volume up for some device) plus the power button.
  5. A new menu should pop up, choose Recovery to boot the TWRP recovery
  6. From the TWRP menu click on Install
  7. Locate and select the SuperSU zip file you downloaded
  8. Swipe the slider beneath to start the rooting process
  9. Once the process is complete, click on the Reboot System button.
  10. Congrats, you are have now completely root your device

Using Magisk

  1. Click here to download Magisk
  2. Move the zip file to internal storage
  3. Switch off your device
  4. Boot your device to custom recovery by holding down Volume down (volume up for some device) plus the power button.
  5. A new menu should pop up, choose Recovery to boot the TWRP recovery
  6. From the TWRP menu click on Install
  7. Locate and select the Magisk zip file you downloaded
  8. Swipe the slider beneath to start the rooting process
  9. Once the process is complete, click on the Reboot System button.
  10. After rebooting, go to file manager
  11. Locate the Magisk file you move to the internal storage in the first place
  12. Install the apk file, check the root status of your device
  13. Congrats, you are have now completely root your device
